About Us
S.T.A.G.E.S stands for “Striving Toward Achieving Goals, Excellency, and Success.” This is the motto that our compassionate and dedicated care providers uphold every day. Each of our staff members has undergone extensive training and background checks to become effective, trustworthy care providers.
Our group home program in Gainesville serves residents of Alachua, Marion, and Duval Counties, Florida. We also provide in-home companion care and other resources for families of adults with disabilities.
Our History
S.T.A.G.E.S of Gainesville, Inc. was founded in 2005 by Theresa Brasby-Gaither and Alvin C. Gaither, Jr. We set out to create a safe, welcoming care solution to help those with disabilities live independently and provide much-needed support to caregivers.
S.T.A.G.E.S originally began as a community-based service provider offering a wide range of services, such as life skills training, in-home and respite support services, behavior assistance, transportation, supported living, and more. In 2007, we decided to add residential rehabilitation to our list of resources. We opened the doors to the first S.T.A.G.E.S Gainesville Group Home on March 1, 2008, and proudly welcomed our first resident.
Today, S.T.A.G.E.S hosts adults of all ages and abilities in our community-centered homes. We still provide the dedicated services our organization was founded on as well as independent living. Thanks to our ever-growing team of hardworking caregivers, we’re always striving toward achieving goals, excellency, and success.
