S.T.A.G.E.S of Gainesville, Inc. offers a wide range of residential and home-based services for adults with intellectual disabilities. Our goal is to help our clients live independently and become active members of their community through behavioral, educational, and needs-based support services.
Our services are available to residents of Alachua, Marion, and Duval Counties, Florida.

Residential Rehabilitation Services
Our residential rehabilitation homes are located in Downtown Gainesville. With small group home sizes and a focus on community integration, the residential program is perfect for adults in transition to living on their own or those who just need a little extra support.
Each group home features:
Shared or private bedrooms
A communal kitchen and dining space
A spacious yard and porch area
24/7 on-site staff
In addition to living support, our residential program includes services to help our clients achieve their goals. Those include:
Behavioral Support
The staff at S.T.A.G.E.S offers behavioral programs to help those with social or behavioral challenges. We focus on therapeutic treatments and individualized plans to meet every resident’s unique needs. Behavioral support may include calming skills, counseling to work through aggression, substance abuse treatment, and more.
Life Skills
The residential program at S.T.A.G.E.S of Gainesville, Inc. is designed to help residents achieve independence. Toward that end, we offer daily life skills training. Group home residents learn how to prepare meals, wash and fold laundry, clean up after themselves, and navigate shared living spaces.
We also offer job skills training and application assistance to help residents who are interested in supporting themselves in the future.
Transportation
The goal of our residential program is not to isolate residents, but to help them integrate with their community. That’s why we offer safe transportation to help residents get to and from school, work, and community activities.
Group Trips & Activities
In addition to living independently, we want our residents to have fun. S.T.A.G.E.S sets up regular group outings and activities around Gainesville. We also take our residents on vacations, where they can learn about independent travel and build lifelong friendships.
Other Supportive Services
S.T.A.G.E.S of Gainesville, Inc. specializes in residential rehabilitation, but that isn’t all we offer. We also facilitate in-home support services to help caregivers of dependent individuals. Similar to respite care, our companion care service connects your family with a trained companion who will work with the individual at home or in the community.
Companion care can include:
- Social skills development
- Transportation to and from classes and other activities
- In-home life skills support
- Supervision and socialization at home
